We Are Sustainable Florists On A Permaculture Flower Farm
Seasonal and Sustainable Florists
We grow seasonally, sustainably and small scale, using permaculture practices that Susan learned while in Guatemala on farm stays.
Our sustainable plan means we need community and, fortunately, the flower community is thriving in New Ross. Both Bar M Ranch, specializing in dahlias, and Roundway Farm, an organic market and flower farm, grow fresh, field grown flowers on century old farms.
With their expert farming, and our professional design, we can provide seasonal floral arrangements for any size event.
We are new to this land and are consumed with the permaculture's first principle of observe and interact. This slow way of gardening favours hand tools over machinery, amending the soil naturally with bio-char, manure, and the German based hugelkultur method over chemical fertilizers. We look to the forest for our inspiration and design.
We give the earth the same love and attention as we give the flower arrangement we design for you.

I’m Susan (on left). My love affair with gardening is a long one. I was the main gardener for Heather Lawson’s garden where her stone sculptures were on display to the public. I spent a career in nursing and now I spend my time nurturing the soil, the flowers and myself. I have worked flowers into every aspect of my life, from designing events to planting in friends’ gardens. It is with great joy that I share my lifetime of knowledge in floral design.
When Susan and I (Carol) came to these 32 acres it was all forest. Today, these woods support a permaculture flower garden and a vibrant mix of insects, birds and animals. Our vision expanded as we built our tiny cabin, then our tiny home, and now our tiny by intention floral design business. I enjoy keeping us organized, focused on achieving our goals and trying my hand at floral photography. I love flowers for their mystery, their healing powers, and the intelligent way they interact in their world. We have much to learn from flowers.
Together we are Foraged Florals.
A debt of gratitude to Heather Lawson for reminding us of the value of creating sanctuary for wildlife.
