If your dream wedding is more than just a day — if it’s about slowing down, connecting with nature, and being part of the beauty around you — then this experience might be just what you’ve been searching for. At Foraged Florals, we believe your wedding should feel like it belongs to you in every sense. That’s why we offer couples the chance to create their own wedding bouquet and boutonnière, right here at our woodland venue and flower farm. What the day looks likeWe begin early, when the garden is fresh and flowers are at their peak. Together, we wander through the beds, gathering blooms that speak to you — the ones that feel right in your hands and heart. You don’t need to be a florist or even know flower names; you only need to be open to what’s blooming that morning. Back at the studio, I’ll guide you through preparing your flowers: trimming stems, conditioning them in water buckets, and understanding how different blooms play their part. We’ll talk focal flowers, fillers, foliage, and how to balance colour and texture. With clean, sharp scissors in hand, you’ll begin shaping your bouquet, adding or subtracting blooms until it feels just right. You’ll learn the hand-tie method — a simple, flexible way to hold your bouquet so the flowers can move into place naturally. We’ll keep a chart nearby for inspiration on shape and size, but every arrangement ends up being as unique as the couple who creates it. Rooted in sustainabilityWhat makes this experience even more meaningful is where your flowers come from. Foraged Florals is a permaculture flower farm, which means everything we grow is part of a thriving, regenerative ecosystem. No chemicals, no imports, no overnight shipping — just blooms nurtured by healthy soil, pollinators, and rainwater. Choosing your flowers directly from the garden not only keeps your wedding day deeply personal, but also ensures the lowest carbon footprint possible. It’s a wedding experience that celebrates both love and the land. Why couples love itThis is about presence. Every decision is yours, guided by the expertise of a florist who knows the garden. You’ll be working within the season’s palette, honouring what nature offers that day. The result is something deeply personal: florals that carry not just beauty, but the memory of the moment you chose them. And the best part? You don’t have to schedule this on a separate day. You can create your bouquet and boutonnière in the morning, then carry them down the woodland path to The Bower in the afternoon for your ceremony. An intimate wedding rooted in natureFor couples who want more than a transaction, who want to be truly connected to their day, this is a wedding experience like no other. Walk the gardens. Cut your blooms. Craft your bouquet. Then celebrate your love beneath the trees.
At The Bower, nature sets the stage — and you set the tone. Ready to plan your sustainable woodland wedding at The Bower? Reach out here to begin your journey.
