Engagement Photo Experience FAQ

What is the Foraged Florals engagement shoot experience?
The full experiecne is an intimate, fully designed editorial session set within the Bower, our open-sided forest venue on our flower farm near New Ross. Each experience pairs you with a fine-art photographer, a curated peony installation created specifically for the shoot, and, for select dates, an original watercolour keepsake. It's less a photo shoot and more of a slow, unhurried celebration of the two of you, held somewhere genuinely beautiful.
What's included in the experience?
Your experience includes exclusive access to the Bower for your session window, a custom floral installation designed around the season's finest peonies, and the expertise of a collaborating fine-art photographer.  Full details are shared at the time of booking. ​

How many couples are hosted per date?
Each date is held exclusively for one couple. The Bower is yours, unhurried, unshared and entirely your own. 
What should we wear?
We'll send you a detailed style guide after booking, but in general: layers, linen, texture. Colours that feel like the forest, soft whites, warm neutrals, sage, rust, deep plum. Avoid bold graphics or anything that competes with the florals. When in doubt, think editorial over event. 
What happens if the weather isn't ideal?
The Bower is open-sided, which means it breathes with its surroundings. The morning mist, soft overcast light, and the particular quiet of a Nova Scotia forest are all part of its magic. We don't cancel for weather we can lean into. In case of severe weather, we'll work with you and the photographer to find a solution that honours the experience.
Is this only for engaged couples?
Not at all. The experience is for anyone who wants to mark something: an anniversary, a milestone, a love that deserves to be photographed somewhere extraordinary. If it feels meaningful to you, it's the right reason to be here.
