Eat Your Medicine: A Wild Food Foraging & Dining Experience
Are you interested in learning to use the wild plants around you as food and medicine to support good health?
In this hands-on workshop, clinical herbalist Oren Hercz will teach you to identify, harvest, store, and eat some abundant local medicinals. You'll gain tools for foraging safely and ethically, while also learning about the plants' health benefits in a hands-on sensory way. This means we'll smell, touch, and taste the plants to intuitively grasp their healing properties.
Along the way, we’ll harvest medicinals to make a nourishing wild salad and wild pesto. From the forest to the fork!
About the Instructor
Oren Hercz RHP (HANS) has been in practice as a Clinical Herbalist since 2010, working in holistic health clinics, a family medicine office, and in private practice online.
He helps people living with chronic health issues who want to feel a greater sense of ease and wellness in mind and body. Oren also teaches classes and workshops, empowering people to become their own home herbalists, and is the cofounder of the Maritime School of Holistic Herbalism.
He is a Registered Herbal Practitioner (RHP) with the Herbalist Association of Nova Scotia, where he currently sits on the board of directors. Oren is passionate about building healthy relationships between people and the earth.
