What is the difference between a mini and micro-wedding?
A mini-wedding is a small, intimate wedding for a party of 10. You can be as formal or as casual as you like. A micro-wedding can be from 20 to 50 people and often is a smaller version of a traditional wedding. How many quests can we have at your woodland wedding venue? Our venue is designed for 10 people, creating a cozy space that lets you truly savor the intimacy of the moment with those closest to you. Your venue is in the woods. What if the weather is bad? We have made arrangements for a nearby century-old decommissioned church to host our mini-weddings. The former church creates a beautiful setting for a small, intimate wedding. Do you do winter weddings? Yes, we do! For those who love the freshness of winter, this experience is for you! We’ll deck the Bower with evergreens. You can warm yourself by the wood stove at the private on-site cabin before and after your wedding. For the hardiest couples, we’ll hope for snow! What’s the benefit of having a wedding on a flower farm? We celebrate the abundance of nature in all seasons. Flower designers can’t help themselves–you will have an abundance of Instagrammable moments! How do we get started planning a mini-wedding at your venue? It’s super easy! Send us a note on our contact page, or give us a call, and we’d love to chat about your vision and what you’re dreaming of. We’ll walk you through the details and make sure everything feels just right for your day. |
What does your woodland mini-wedding cost?
If you book the All-Inclusive Package a minimum of 6 months in advance, you will receive the Early Bird rate of $7500 + HST. Within 6 months, the rate is $7900 + HST. You can customize your package with additional add-ons if desired. Is your woodland wedding rustic? Not at all! Many couples say they feel even more special because they’re personal, intimate, and stress-free. It’s about creating meaningful moments. Plus we take special care with beautiful table settings and floral arrangements. What does all-inclusive mean? We handle everything—from flowers to vendors—so you can relax and enjoy your wedding day anxiety free. Can we still have a ceremony and reception? Yes! We do not book multiple weddings on the same day, allowing you to take your time. Is a mini-wedding the same as an elopement? Not quite! Elopements are usually just the couple (and maybe a witness or two). Mini-weddings, on the other hand, are for couples who want to share their day with a small group of loved ones. Can we customize our mini-wedding? Yes! That’s what makes them so special. We love working with couples to add personal touches—whether it’s a favorite flower, live music or singing bowl practitioner to connect you even more with nature. Do we need a wedding planner for a mini-wedding? We’ve got you covered! With our mini-wedding package, we handle the planning essentials so you can relax and enjoy the process. |

Support local, seasonal and sustainable
flower farmers. It is the future.. On our flower farm and studio, our methods of production and design already produce the lowest possible carbon footprint for a flower arrangement - grown outdoors, locally and seasonally with no chemical inputs. Susan Larder is a SFN member florist. |
Our tiny flower farm is situated near Waqmiaq*, now New Ross, in the District of Sipekne'katik, in Mi'kma'ki on the unceded ancestral and territorial land and waters of the Mi'kmaw People. We aspire to be respectful stewards of their land, as the Mi'kmaq have been, and continue to be, for thousands of years. We are all Treaty People under the Peace and Friendship Treaties of 1725 and 1752.
*Waqmiaq is translated as "clean flowing water" on the Mi'kmaw Place Names website https://placenames.mapdev.ca. An audio of its pronunciation is also available. ©2024 Foraged Florals |
